 | Belle Vue is well situated for many outdoor & indoor activities. Ideal for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. We can help you organise your holiday entertainment. Tell us your interests & what you want to do............ and we can point you in the right direction.
Guide
book
Our "Out & About" Guide
book; available during your stay at the farm, will tell
you of places of interest to visit, stories of local customs (such
as music,
dancing & fest
noz) and also local inexpensive restaurants & crêperies to sample the
French cuisine. Four course lunches can be found for about £6 including
wine.
Countryside walks
Country
walks are a pleasure. Starting from the farm we have many
circular walks of varying lengths on easy to find tracks, paths & small
roads, allowing you to explore the valley of unspoilt hamlets. Discover the Roman Quarry & follow the Roman Road and 'Robin Hood' style hollowed out paths.
Cycling
For those of you wanting to get further a field, we have bikes to hire of all sizes (child seats too); ideal for the whole family's entertainment saving the bother of bringing your own. We can give you a map & recommend local roads to take. Quiet well signposted country lanes, travelled by a few tractors & cars, provide a change from city cycling.

Sandy bays & lakes
To
the north, south & west of Belle Vue (about an hour away by car) there
are many sandy bays, each one with its own character. Some are used
by
traditional
fishermen sculling their small wooden boats & setting down their
nets & pots. Seafood is plentiful. There are also beaches closer
to hand at the Lakes Glomel, Guerledan & Priziac.
Watersport & fishing
Fishing & water sports are close at hand as Belle Vue lies central
for the Nantes / Brest canal, the lake at Glomel with its sandy beach & also
the lake at Mur de Bretagne. Both lakes are 20 minutes away by car
and have hire centres for canoes, dingy sailing or wind surfing.
Woodturning
Woodturning courses are available in Mellionnec, by arrangement with our local woodturner. He has a continual display of his works of art in his studio.
 Art & Culture
Quimper to the south is well known for its pottery and has Hypermarkets
too. Over the years many French artists have chosen
the villages of Brittany as their retreat & many towns
exhibit their work, adding to the culture of the region.
